On Friday, November 9, the Fall Collegiate MAXI contestants gathered at CCAH (Chapman Cubine and Hussey) at 2000 N. 15th Street, Suite 550, in Arlington, VA.
Five teams participated in the competition representing three academic institutions: American University, King’s College and Salisbury University. There were two case options for our fall competition: AARP and Jane Goodall Institute (JGI).
Each team was provided a brief SWOT assessment of the organization (based on publicly available information). The teams described an overall creative strategy, explaining how this strategy builds on the SWOT assessment.
The Gold winner for our fall MAXI competition was a team representing Salisbury University, which chose the AARP case study. Sierra Little and Debbry Mburu presented and received first place honors.
Coming in second and earning Silver Honors was another team from Salisbury University choosing the JGI case study. Team members were: Kyle Albert, Taylor Garner, Nicholas Diller and Julia Jabbari. Both Salisbury teams were advised by Professor Paula Morris.
Third place, Bronze honors, went to the team of four from King’s College. Advised by professor, Dr. Amy Parsons were: Nicole Berger, Alyssa Christian, Eryn Rackham and Vanessa Yao.
